Hi - this may seem stupid, but how do you download the DO.Net samples? Thank you.

Hello David. We have ASP.NET MVC 4 Sample but it's not published on codeplex due to lots of dependencies. You could download it here: http://dataobjects.net/Downloads/Extras/AspNetMvc4Sample.zip P.S. I've accidently deleted your comment to Malisa's answer :-( Sorry about that.

Thanks Denis for this TaskList MVC4 DO4 Sample. Is this really the way it must be done with MVC - creating both a DO.Net "Task" Entity class and an MVC "TaskModel" class which is virtually redundant with the "Task" class? Isn't there any way to pass the DO.Net Task object directly to the Views? Do you have other MVC samples? What happened to the Persons sample? Thank you very much!

Oh, I see it is perhaps using a ViewModel pattern, as in M-V-VM. (?)

I love this article: http://geekswithblogs.net/michelotti/archive/2009/10/25/asp.net-mvc-view-model-patterns.aspx

You're right this sample follows MVVM pattern. This is considered good practice to separate business and presentation models. You could pass DataObjects.Net entities directly to views however it's not possible to return them back (i.e. method in controller can't accept entities as arguments).
