Just seen the sample apps, from previous question.

Did not known you support services (Singleton, named etc), don't remember seeing them in documentation or release notes. Where is the documentation ?

Are they like V3 services?

One Answer:

The only source of Services-related documentation for now is the DataObjects.Net Samples repository. I'm not going to tell you that Services is a "hidden gem" in DataObjects.Net family. The truth is, we just forgot to write and include corresponding chapter in documentation.

As for the question whether Services v4 are alike Services v3, generally, they are the same and they target the same purpose: execute some stateless actions against persistent entities inside transactional context. Except the fact that DataObjects.Net v4 doesn't provide infrastructure for so-called Runtime services.

Great news, the online help works again. Here is the link to Modelling domains chapter: link. Scroll down to Services part.
