Hi,

I would like to know when we can expect LINQ support, exactly; we're starting a pretty big project in the next few days and the choice of ORM will be dependant on LINQ support.

Thanks.

It's our high-priority task now. I expect:

  • Initial release showing certain level of LINQ support will be shown before NY (i.e. joins, where, but most likely w\o subqueries)

  • All features of v3.9 query language & most part of LINQ implementation will be available till the end of January 2009

  • Advanced features, such as RSE query optimizer for index engines and support of our index range measures (I wrote we can maintain aggregates in our indexes, and thus calculate them for index ranges almost instantly; better description will be published in Wiki shortly) will be added further. This won't affect on support of SQL databases, but e.g. absence of query optimizer for index engines implies we'll add some extension methods allowing to provide translation hints to our query compiler in case when translation is performed for index engine.
